Role: Childcare Lawyer
Lawyer required to undertake child protection work. Friendly supportive team. Modern office and iken case management system and Lexis.
Driving licence would be required as travelling to court and offices for meetings is necessary.
Experience of care proceedings , adoption , discharges , plo process and advising generally with regards to child protection cases is a must.
You should be a competent advocate who is adept at drafting and can work to deadlines and under pressure.
We are a supportive team based in the town centre in an open plan office . There is access to iken and lexis and nearby parking .
To advise in relation to regeneration schemes, drafting appropriate documentation which protects and promotes the Council’s interest and coordinating other officers as part of a legal team as necessary.
To assist in matters relating to the Council’s statutory functions.
To advise Council members and other officers of appropriate matters within the post holder’s responsibility.
To keep up to date with relevant new legislation, case law and Council policy and participate in appropriate further training opportunities.
To contribute and participate as an active team member in the Legal Services Division sharing knowledge with other officers.
To provide assistance and cover for colleagues within the Department when required.
