Role: Housing Lawyer/Legal Advisor

My local authority client are looking to appoint a Housing Lawyer/Legal Advisor to join their legal team, for initially a three month temporary contract with possible extension. Pay rate is negotiable.
To act as a legal advisor to Council departments, ALMO’s and other Registered Providers of Social housing, providing high level, high quality legal advice on housing law issues. Manage a case load with supervision. Conduct proceedings and act as an advocate in the County Court and Magistrates' Court dealing with most aspects of social housing law, including Applications for Anti-social Behaviour injunctions, Claims for Possession, Estate Management issues.
The role holder must be qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive Advocate, with an up to date practising certificate, and with rights of audience in the County Court and Magistrates Court.
Local authority experience is desirable.
