Purpose:

Working on various industrial building schemes and some heavy industrial steel buildings schemes. Must be good Hands On Designer that can run jobs with good design skills in predominantly steel and RC. Must be familiar with Software (ideal if experience with Master Series)

Key tasks:

• MSc/MEng qualified in relevant Structural Engineering discipline, Chartered CEng beneficial.
• Proven postgraduate experience in industrial buildings
• Be experienced in Project Delivery - Carrying out investigations, designs, engineering calculations and preparation of drawings, provide advice on contract arrangements and conditions under which buildings will be constructed
• Developing and maintaining strong and trusted relationships with a variety of clients
• Take a brief and develop initial design proposals and prepare specifications for construction work. Ensure design proposals conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards
• Inspect building works on site
• Experience managing the technical delivery of multiple projects including meeting with clients and liaising with contractors, architects and other consultants
• Develop customer relationships to find additional opportunities to address their challenges
• Manage the costs of projects during the construction stage and negotiate final accounts
• Helping with the presentation of proposals to the client and assisting in Business Development
• Assist with the development of junior team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet strict deadline
